Our Mission
A "PEACE" Of Me was founded on the belief that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and a community that cares. We exist to bridge the gap between need and resource — providing food, clothing, and essential support to individuals and families facing hardship.
We don't just hand out, we hand up. Our work is rooted in relationship, respect, and the conviction that small acts of kindness, multiplied across a community, create lasting change. We envision a community where no one goes hungry, lacks warmth, or feels forgotten. A place where compassion unites us, dignity is restored, and everyone has a home.

Our Story
A “PEACE” Of Me was born from a legacy of love, service, and community that began generations ago in our family home in Richmond’s Church Hill neighborhood. My great-grandmother, Ella Harrison, “Grandma Ella”, as we lovingly called her never turned away anyone in need. Her doors were always open, and her kitchen was a place where everyone could find a warm meal and a welcoming heart. She taught four generations of our family the importance of serving others without judgment.
Today we serve hundreds of individuals and families each month through food outreach, clothing drives, youth support, and emergency assistance — all made possible by the generosity of our community.
